Back in time Family Fun Days
Horses to Horsepower Back in Time Family Fun Day
Sunday 25 June 9am to 2pm
Discover the history of travel and the reason we talk about vehicles having horsepower nowadays. When did we move from horse-drawn vehicles to roaring, racing cars? Why did it happen? What were the early versions of our motor transport?
See some vintage and custom cars, classic and vintage motorcycles, and find the answers when you visit Cooneana Heritage Centre on this special day. Ride the Heritage Bus and get a feel for how we rode into town before air conditioning and other improvements were made.
There will be stalls selling coffee, tea, candies, preserves and souvenirs. Tastes of Imbibis distillery products will be offered and the products will be for sale.
Ride the train with the family and check out all the displays on the way.
Our Cooneana Blacksmiths will be hard at work. The Magician will try to trick you with his magic show. Visit the Genies to find out how to research your family history.
See the creative crafts of the Spinners, Weavers, Fibre Artisans of Ipswich and check out the old schoolroom and the doll display.
Make some craft items of your own to take home and to remember this day.
Adults $7.50 Children 4-12 years $5.00 Under 4 years free. Families of up to two adults and four children $25.00.
Tickets at the gate. Parking available.
