All Aboard!

Saturday 14 March 2026 sees the beginning of the Heritage Circuit trip through time!

Departing from Swanbank Station (built in 1903), this nostalgic experience combines a journey through the historic Ipswich countryside by heritage train, making our way to Cooneana Heritage Centre by a vintage bus kindly provided by the Heritage Bus Association.

The train features timber carriages dated between 1880 and 1940, this time hauled by the vintage diesel locomotive, Bubba.

The bus section will feature one of two stunning vintage buses by Heritage Bus Association.

At Cooneana Heritage Centre, travel back the 19th century with the Ipswich Historical Society team. See Cooneana Homestead, the Ipswich Historical Society Blacksmiths, the Spinners, Weavers and Fibre Artisans, the Ipswich Genealogical Society and Historical Motorcycle Club and more after enjoying complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits.

Each group will complete a circuit that takes about two hours.

3 to 15 years and concessions: $21.50
